The gameplay of James Bond 007 is presented from a top-down perspective.[2] As James Bond, the player controls an arsenal of weapons and items. Bond must use items at the appropriate place and time to either sneak past impossible odds or to solve a mission. The player can save up to three games and/or delete them. The player can perform fist and karate moves. The game is played across 11 levels,[3] and incorporates gambling minigames, such as baccarat and blackjack.[5] The game is presented in black and white, as it was developed for the original Game Boy.
